Whether you are just getting started with photography or a seasoned pro, you will come home with photos you treasure, which you can turn into heirlooms for your home or office. I will take you to places of spectacular scenery at exactly the right time and show you how to capture these scenes for maximum impact.
Fun and Adventure
In addition to capturing great photos, you will have a great time on this trip. I will take the stress out of getting around. We will see the highlights of the north coast of Ireland. When the times are right, we will photograph the Irish scenery. When they aren’t, we will relax, or tour historical places, or just enjoy music and drinks in the pubs with the locals.
First Class
We will stay in the best B&B’s we can find in our remote settings. In the mornings, you’ll be treated to full Irish breakfasts. In the evenings, you’ll enjoy great dinners in local restaurants and pubs. This trip is made for you to bring your spouses and significant others as well!
The Best Locations
This is a custom-designed tour designed to get you to the best, most scenic locations in northern Ireland. We’ll hit the biggies – the places you have to go on any trip to Ireland – but when we do so we’ll make sure you are in the spots to get the best pictures in the best light. We will also go to less traveled places I have scouted on prior trips. There is an embarrassment of riches in terms of scenery here, and we’ll be choosing between a lot of cool places.
The Best Lighting
Our itinerary is designed to have you in the best spots near sunrise and sunset, of course. Irish weather is notoriously cloudy, and we’ll put “nature’s softbox” to work for us to get shots during the day as well. You’ll learn all about photographing in different lighting situations.
Improve Your Photography
This is an unparelled opportunity that I guarantee will improve your photography. How could it not? You’ll be immersed in photography for 9 days. You’ll have one-on-one access to an instructor, known for a simple, easy to understand style of teaching. Ultimately, photography is about problem solving to achieve a goal, and we’ll work through all sorts of issues and conditions together.
Itinerary
This is a preliminary schedule for the tour. The final schedule should be similar to this (and hopefully identical), but there could be modifications depending on availability and other factors.
Day 1: Arrive in Dublin
Arrive in Dublin in the morning and we will be there to welcome you to Ireland and get you settled in. If you aren’t too tired from the flight, we will take in some sights in the afternoon. We’ll have a get-together that evening in Temple Bar as well.
Day 2-3: Donegal
We will make our way north to Donegal. We will make stops along the way to experience Irish castle ruins and incredible scenery. We will reach the town of Donegal. The next day, we will head to Slieve League, the tallest cliffs in Europe! But don’t worry, they don’t involve a lot of climbing (unless you really want to). We will stay in Donegal 2 nights, where there will be plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy in our evenings.
Day 4: Fanad Head
We will travel through County Donegal, through some of the most remote areas of Ireland. Along the way, we will stop at amazing overlooks and ruins. We will end up at Fanad Head, with the ultra-scenic Fanad Head lighthouse perched on the cliffs. We will be able to do sunset and sunrise shoots in this amazing location, to ensure we get great shots.
Day 5 – Malin Head
We will continue our trek through County Donegal today. We’ll see the Great Pollet Sea Arch along the way and traverse the Inishowen peninsula. We will end at Malin Head, the most northern part of all of Ireland. This was a recent set for the latest Star Wars movie as well.
Days 6 – 7: The Causeway Coast
We will now venture into North Ireland and spend the next two days exploring the Causeway Coast in County Antrim. This is some of the most dramatic scenery anywhere in the world. We will stay near Giants’ Causeway (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and will be only a few miles from Dunluce Castle and Dark Hedges, among other amazing sites. We will spend 2 nights here to make sure we can cover it all.
Day 8: The Coastal Road
We will capture the last remaining bits of County Antrim and then start heading South. But the hits keep on coming, and we will take the scenic Coastal Road into Belfast. There, we’ll have a group dinner and enjoy our images.
Day 9: Return to Dublin
Today we will head back to Dublin. Some will choose to remain in Dublin to continue exploring Ireland. Others will continue their travels to other parts of Europe. And others will head home for a little well-deserved R&R and to review the amazing images they captured.

Total cost is only $3,995. That includes all accommodations in first class Irish hotels and B&Bs! It will also include all meals. You’ll receive a full Irish breakfast each morning, a light lunch, and then full dinners at some of the best restaurants in Ireland. It also includes all admissions and additional activities. We will also take care of all in-country transportation.
Even better, the cost for your spouse or significant other – sharing a room with you – is only $3,495! If you are by yourself and want your own room, it will be an additional $950 to cover the extra room charges.
