Jim Hamel: Travel  + Photography

In 2010, after working through the ranks of large law firms, I found myself the managing partner of a firm I had co-founded in downtown Dallas. But that was the year I walked away and began the hardcore pursuit of photography.  I didn’t quit expressly to travel and photograph, but that’s what ended up happening. Taking a step back provided time for travel and photography, which has been my focus since that time.

My Photography

For the last 12 years, I have been on something of a quest to see the most beautiful places in the world and to photograph them. Whether they were big cities or remote places, famous or unknown, I would go there with my camera.  You can check out my photos on this page.  I am also proud to be affiliated with BEHN Gallery in Carmel, Indiana.

Teaching Photography
